Obama wins North Carolina, Clinto Wins Indiana

Well the results are in. Barack Obama has taken North Carolina with a margin of 15% and Hillary Clinton won Indiana with a margin of 2%. Polls before the primary had predicted that Obama would win North Carolina by 7% and Clinton would win Indiana by 7% as well.

There was some drama about the results. One of the counties in Indiana took forever to release their results. They did not finalize their results until midnight. Apart from that the day was uneventful, election wise.

Today was a bigger win for Obama than most experts had projected. With the Wright Scandal, many that thought that Obama’s approval would go down, which it did. However, it was not enough for Clinton to beat Obama in North Carolina or for her to make a 7% in Indiana.

Now the Clintons have change their focus to future primaries. Their campaign needs money and they will be rallying funds during the next week.

As for Obama, he seems to have regain confidence. During the Aftermath of Rev. Wright, he has found himself in a difficult position. Now with North Carolina in his pocket the campaign is making headway again.
